The Echo Lounge & Music Hall welcomed American band The Cab from Las Vegas, Nevada on May 22nd.
Due to the band going on a hiatus in 2014, the “Back From the Dead” Tour marks their first headliner in 4 years.
The band returned in 2025 with their EP Road to Reign: A Prelude and soon after they announced their comeback album Chasing Crowns.
To celebrate the release of their new album Chasing Crowns, The Cab went on tour with support from JADY.
JADY is an alternative pop/rock duo from Columbus, Ohio, consisting of lead singer Jarrett Doherty and drummer Ashton Bergdorf.
Relatively new to the music scene, JADY were the opening act of the night. Their relentless stage energy set the tone for the rest of the night. Their setlist consisted of “Reanimate”, “Fragile”, “White Casket”, “Shed My Skin”, a cover of “Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood, “TMSTIDK”, “Chokehold”, “Candy”, and “Stunner”.
As they brought their time on stage to an end, JADY told the crowd that they would be back in Dallas towards the end of the year and invited them to go see them again. They also invited the fans to stop by their merch table to say “Hello” to them.

The American Rock band The Cab consists of lead vocalist Alexander DeLeon, rhythm guitarist and keyboardist Alex T. Marshall, lead guitarist Chantry Johnson, bassist Joey Thunder and drummer Dave Briggs.
A moment everyone had been waiting for had finally arrived. The crowd filled the venue with excitement as The Cab walked on stage and started to sing “Locked and Loaded” followed by “Temporary Bliss”.
Dallas was the first stop on the “Back From The Dead” Tour. This tour marks their comeback to the scene.
Alex’s family was in attendance, and after performing “Back From The Dead,” Alex mentioned that it was his daughter’s favorite song from “Chasing Crowns,” thus making him smile watching her enjoy the performance.
The Cab also sang “Intoxicated” which happened to be the first time they played it in full.
“For the OG’s during MySpace days” Alex said before singing “Take My Hand “ everyone sang every lyric, and were jumping up and down in unison.
They played a 90s medley that included “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by Backstreet Boys “…Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears and “It’s Gonna Be Me” by Nsync.
The entire venue sang along with The Cab as they covered Justin Bieber’s “Yukon”.
Dave had a drum solo right before they started to sing “Bounce.”
As the night came to an end, the crowd went wild when The Cab started to play “Endlessly” and “Angel With a Shotgun”.
This concert created core memories for all the “elder emos” in attendance, a lot of them grew up listening to The Cab and now they are bringing their children to a live show to experience the same energy they did back in the day.
