The venue Puzzles Deep Ellum opened its doors to Wind Walkers and their “I DON’T BELONG HERE” tour. With special guests If Not For Me and True North.
The crowd were excited for True North, an Alternative Pop-Rock band to take over the stage. True North opened their setlist with “Burn” followed by “Save Your Breath” and “Still Enough”.
Next up were Pennsylvania natives If Not For Me who are a metalcore band made by Patrick Glover on vocals, Hayden Calhoun on Guitar, Zac Allen on Bass and Cody Frain on Drums.
On August 14, If Not For Me released their new Where The Light Begins To Fade through Thriller Records.
The 12-track album explores the feeling of loss and the grief that comes with it, betrayal, resilience, and healing.
To start their portion of the night, the band sang “Retrograde” which got the fans hyped up. Followed by “Novocaine” which features Josh Mowery of Catch Your Breath. “Novocaine” explores the feeling of wanting to help someone you care about however they keep you at arms length and there’s nothing you can do about it.
The night was emotionally charged and high-energy paced which set the vibes for the rest of the night. The fans were able to match these energetic vibes that IFNM had throughout the night.
The setlist for the night included songs such as “Tragedy”, “Prey for Me”, “Close to Closure” and “Broken Throne”. At one point, Patrick was joined by Trevor the vocalist from Wind Walkers to sing “Lie Awake” which is featured in Where The Light Begins To Fade.
The crowd were swaying their arms back and forth while singing along and enjoying the band performing “Unholy”.
To finish their set they sang Feel Me Now.
The band encouraged fans to sing, jump and enjoy the night. Before exiting the stage IFNM thanked the fans for being there and invited them to stop by the merch table at the end of the night so they could meet everyone.
