On the evening of April 22nd, The Echo Lounge & Music Hall welcomed American indie rock band The Crane Wives.

As the lights were subdued, a man dressed in a suit and wearing a deer mask appeared and started to place lanterns on the spots where each member would stand. As he made his way off stage Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” played in the background and the band which consists of Emilee Petersmark (vocals-guitarist), Kate Pillsbury (vocals-guitarist), Dan Rickabus (drummer), and Ben Zito (bass) took their spot.

They started the night with “Metaphor”, “Arcturus Beaming” and “Canary in a Coal Mine”.

The fans sang along to every lyric with Emilee and Kate the moment they started singing.

Their setlist included songs such as “Never Love an Anchor” , “Black Hole Fantasy“, “The Well“ and “Steady, Steady“.A memorable moment was when they started to play “The Moon Will Sing” every single person in the venue started to sing without missing a beat. It is safe to say that this is a fan favorite.

The sold out show was full of high-energy and passionate vocals making it hard for the night to come to an end.
Make sure to catch them when they come to a city near you, get tickets here!
