The marquee lit up with “Lauren Spencer Smith” at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. Fans gathered to see the Canadian singer perform her new album, The Art of Being Messy. An album that goes through mood swings, self-confidence, and heartache. The memorable show included amazing ballads, creative set design, and fans spilling secrets.

Maisy Kay got the crowd moving with her fun and energetic songs. Her bright energy put a smile on everyone’s faces. Maisy’s blue sparkly fairy-core outfit shined on stage when she twirled around. Her set was a great start to the night. Henry Moodie was up next. It was just him and his guitar, and that’s all he needed to get the crowd to sing along. Fans in the front row knew some of his songs like “You Were There for Me” and “Right Person, Wrong Time.” He did a fun segment where an inflatable die was brought out, and it was between 6 artists to cover. The artist he covered was Adele, and he sang “Someone Like You.” Henry’s heartfelt songs got everyone in the mood for Lauren.

When nine fifteen hit, the lights dimmed and the intro to “If Karma Doesn’t Get You (I Will).” Lauren walked on stage and belted out this powerhouse of a track. Her set design was immaculate. To the left there was a bus stop of the LSS Express. It had a pay phone and a “no stopping emotional arrival zone” sign. A white bench was next to the stop, with a “sad girl” tissue box. On the right stood three white boxes for the singer to stand on. In between the bus stop and boxes was white drape behind the stage with her face in a gray textured design. Lauren played with the phone prop to transition for “Bridesmaids” and “That Part.” Fans did not stop singing her songs the second her set started. She also interacted with fans a lot by grabbing flowers, a “wheel of feels” segment, and “tell me a secret box”, where fans read each other secrets out-loud. Lauren’s music filled the venue, from “Parallel Universe,” a song about an alternate universe where the relationship remained intact, to “Flowers,” where fans sang every lyric back to her.

Lauren Spencer Smith is a force to be reckoned with. Her beautiful voice echoed throughout the 2,600 capacity venue. She’s all about self-confidence and being the best version of yourself. After seeing Lauren live, I understand why everyone is in love with her music! You can purchase tickets to see Lauren Spencer Smith here.
