Fans gathered at Terminal West to catch alternative/indie all-girl group The Aces. Consisting of Cristal (lead vocals and guitar), McKenna (bass), Alisa (drums), and Katie (bass), they worked hard on this new era. Their new album Gold Star Baby, released earlier this year, is a sparkly, 80s-inspired, energetic album. To get into the theme of the album, fans dressed up in sparkly tops, cheetah print, and some flared pants. It was a night filled with dancing, a best-dressed competition, and some tea talk!

Right on cue at 8pm, Lydia Night took the stage. Her bright pink hair and pink tutu shined-bright in the blue lighting. Her solo album Parody Of Pleasure follows her journey of finding herself. This album has the influence of Britney Spears’ sounds, electrifying production, and lyrics that will get stuck in your head. She played tracks such as “Gutter,” “Little Doe,” and “The Bomb.” Lydia’s vibrant set got the crowd moving, with fans waving their hands up in the air, her jumping up and down around the stage, and a rock cover of Justin Bieber’s “Baby.”

Half an hour later, the cloth of the drums revealed “The Aces” drumhead. Fans cheered, and the lights went down. They started with “Jealous,” a fun, bright song with memorable guitar riffs. The bright lights emulated their stylish outfits. They played tracks from their new album but also some throwbacks, such as “Don’t Freak,” “Good Time,” and “Stuck.” In honor of “Gold Star Baby,” they had a best dressed competition, and three fans came up and told the crowd what inspired their outfits. Everyone was smiling and couldn’t contain their excitement.

Atlanta gave it their all for The Aces. The lights could not stop strobing and shining green, yellow, and blue. Outfits were on point, and the band could not stop smiling throughout the night. This new era is all about being yourself, having the time of your life, and finding the one. The Aces show was one to remember. Get tickets here and bring out that sparkly jacket!
