Everyone gathered at Terminal West for actor/singer Finn Wolfhard‘ last show of The Objection Tour. His new album, “Happy Birthday”, released in June, and fans were eager to hear it live. With this being the last night of the tour, no one knew what to expect. The special night contained flashing lights, memorable guitar riffs, and energetic solos to complete the tour.
Chicago-based band, The Slaps, started the show with Jane S. Piddy. Band members Rand Kelly (guitar/vocals), Ramsey Bell (bass/vocals), and Josh Resign (drums/vocals) got the crowd moving with their smooth and laid-back alternative-indie sound. Red lights radiated on stage, and their voices echoed throughout. They played some tracks from their album “Mudglimmer,” released last year. Red then turned into green for Flip. Everyone was in a trance during their set. At one point, Josh got on the mic and sang one of the ending songs. Their set was a perfect way to kick off the night.

Half an hour later, blue lights beamed on stage, and Finn and his band members walked on stage. He rocked some circle sunglasses and a blue jacket. The second “Choose The Latter” started, the crowd screamed and jumped with joy. A high-energy start, it just got better and better from there. During “Objection”, bright red lights illuminated and there were some memorable guitar solos. Fans were living in the moment and sang along with them. Halfway through the show, a tambourine came into play for “Everytown There’s A Darling,” in addition to blue flashing lights. They then played a cover of “Another Girl Another Planet,” which was an upbeat song and had an iconic guitar solo. After all the running around, Finn took off his jacket and played another cover by Lunar Vacation, “No Offerings” on the piano. His bass player explained they wrote the song in Atlanta, and she was singing the song, while the lights faded from blue to green. It was a lovely song to experience. The tambourine came out again for “Wait,” a song filled with blue and turquoise flashing lights, and a vibrant. Ending the night with “Crown,” red faded into orange, and it was the perfect song to finish the tour. Finn was on the drums and no one wanted to leave the stage. But good things must come to an end, Finn and his band members left it all on stage and the crowd roared with cheers and claps. Atlanta was a great spot to finish the tour.
