On the warm evening of August 15th, RBC located in the heart of downtown Dallas, welcomed The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and their supporting act Morning In May.

As the fans waited in line to get inside the venue, Ronnie, the lead singer for The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, walked outside and greeted everyone by fist pumping them.

Morning in May is an emo-core/pop-rock band made up of lead singer Jake Bartolic, Scott Vallina on guitar, Andrew Campofredano on drums, Mckenzie Lee on bass, and they brought their nostalgic, catchy melodies and early 2000’s energy to the stage of RBC as the opening act. Their set included “Make Like Parents And Split”, “Shania Pain, Man! I Feel Like A Loser” and covers of “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan and “Just Dance “by Lady Gaga.

American Rock band, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (RJA)  were next to take center stage. The band is made up of lead singer Ronnie Winter, unclean vocalist K. Enagonio, who also recently joined the band, Joey Westwood on bass, Josh Burke as lead guitarist, Randy Winter on rhythm guitar, John Espy on drums and percussion, last but not least Nadeem Salam on keyboards.

RJA opened their set with “Real World” followed by “Atrophy” and “Waiting”.

As the night went by, RBC was filled with elder emos singing along to classics such as “Brace Yourself”, “Damn Regret”. They also performed their newly released song “Slipping Through (No Kings)” from their upcoming sixth studio album “X’s for Eyes” set to be released on October 3rd.

K told the crowd they would join them in the pit because before being part of the band they were a fan so they also enjoy watching Ronnie perform. As Kay made their way off the stage, the fans turned their phone flashlights on as Ronnie began singing “Your Guardian Angel”.

While taking a break from singing, Ronnie interacted with the fans by thanking them for attending. He also shared that this musical journey has been interesting as he has autism so sometimes things can be a little harder, with this took the opportunity to remind everyone in attendance that everyone makes mistakes, however it does not mean we are less or not loved. Ronnie promised they would be back in Dallas. He continued to let fans know that they would start doing free meet and greets before their shows so to “make sure to show up early so we can say hi”

As the night was coming to an end, RJA performed a cover of Blink-182’s “All The Small Things” followed by fan favorite “Face Down”, a song that put them on the map. The fans chanted “ Encore, Encore” and “One More Song’  a few times as the band started clearing the stage. Ronnie caved and said he would sing one more song however it would be outside and it would be just him and his guitar. Fans gather outside surrounding Ronnie who now was on top of a stairwell. After performing this impromptu acoustic session Ronnie stayed to talk, take pictures and sign any merchandise that was brought to him by the fans. With this he brought the night to an end.
