Sabrina Carpenter spreads the Valentine’s Day love with Short n’ Sweet: Deluxe. She had an amazing year; two Grammys, an exceptional arena tour, with the European leg coming up; this deluxe is a thank you to the fans. The extra 5 tracks showcases Sabrina’s wide range of genres; a luxurious sound of country and pop in “15 Minutes”, a beautiful falsetto in “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder”, a memorable duo with icon Dolly Parton, and more.

Getting up on your feet with “15 Minutes”, Sabrina explains her confidence and how no one is getting in the way of her goals. An electric guitar graces us with the clever opening verse, “The clock is tickin’ lately, Guess that means I’m doin’ somethin’ right.” In the upbeat chorus, Sabrina portrays what she can accomplish, “But I can do a lot with fifteen minutes, lot of pretty boys, lot of funny business, Take a couple bucks, turn ’em into millions.” Sabrina knows that she is capable of expanding her success.

From a high energy 80s sound, with hints of country twang, we pivot to her “Please, Please, Please” feature. Dolly and Sabrina are a force to be reckoned with. This pair shows off their exquisite harmonies. In the music video, they work together to eliminate her ex. In “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” the singer has had enough of her partner’s actions, “And for the graveyard in my stomach, Filled with pivotal formative comments, Meanwhile, you’re just tryna tell me I look nice.” The Pennsylvania-born singer belts her heart out, in this impactful ballad. Sabrina’s writing and production shines throughout these 5 tracks.
