Review and Gallery by: Chino Flor

As I’m walking towards The House of Blues in Dallas, Tx, last Sunday, I see people wearing hoodies and sweatshirts of all three bands performing in the I Want To Disappear In The USA Tour headlined by The Story So Far. The line has already formed more than a block from the venue for the much awaited performance from the popular pop-punk group. Koyo and Superheaven are featured guests to promise fans an incredible show to a sold out event. The venue quickly fills with fans racing to purchase merchandise and find spots inside as they eagerly await for the night to get started.

Koyo does not hold back opening with “I Might Not Get Through All Of This” from their latest EP Mile A Minute released last November 2024. The hardcore band formed 2020 in Stony Brook, Ny has 5 EPs and 1 studio album to their name. They are energetic performers that do a good job opening the night, engaging the crowd, and getting everyone set for the next bands to follow. It’s hard not to match their tenacity on stage as they perform fan favorites like “You’re On The List”, “Anthem”, and their latest single “Mile A Minute”. They got everyone riled up well and ready.

Superheaven follows and picks up right where the previous band left off. They immediately play their latest single “Long Gone” and continue to play all their hits including “Leach”, “Youngest Daughter”, and “Poor Aileen”. The band has been around since 2008 forming in Doylsetown, PA releasing 3 studio albums and 4 EPs. An incredible live performance that they topped off with an announcement of a new album releasing next year. I can’t even begin to describe how loud the venue was which surprisingly gets even louder as the main act takes the stage.

The ever-popular pop-punk sensations formed 2007 in Walnut Creek, CA makes their entrance and the volume in the venue is so immense that you know it’s about to get crazy. The Story So Far has released 5 studio albums including their most recently released I Want To Disappear. 2024 was a big year for the group with 6 years spaced from their last album and instantly captivating fans with songs like “All This Time”, “Nothing To Say”, and “Letterman” which was even more incredible to experience live. The band added in a few classics including my personal favorite “Empty Space”, “White Shores”, and “Nerve”. They delivered a great show. The energy was unrivaled and they closed out in epic fashion.

Every band has been a delight to watch live. They are great performers and deliver an unforgettable show. The tour has a few more dates before closing out in San Francisco, CA on December 14, 2024. They also recently announced that the tour will be headed to Japan early next year. Follow the band and the tour HERE.
