As their US tour leg wraps up at the end of this month, Four Year Strong brought support acts Death Lens, One Step Closer, and Free Throw for a wild night from start to finish. Packing The Studio at the Factory with young and elder-emo alike despite it being a cold Wednesday night, each set was filled with an ever- increasing amount of mosh pits and crowd surfing from the most passionate of fans.
First on the night’s bill was LA-based Death Lens with their song “Abrupt”. For an opening band to go so unapologetically hard was quite fun to watch, even bassist Eduardo Contreras dove into the crowd towards the end of their set to keep the crowd going. Closing out their set with the heavy hitting “Limousine”, the night was just getting started.

The next band on the line up was One Step Closer opening with “Color You”. Main vocalist Ryan Savitski’s stage presence was unmatched, the raw energy from his performance instantly turning the crowd up a notch. Ending with one of their older songs “The Reach” from their 2019 EP From Me To You, the band made sure the growing crowd was ready for the acts ahead of them.

Starting off with “You Don’t Say That”, Nashville natives Free Throw began their set with a bang. Extremely expressive and incredibly heartfelt, Free Throw is such a joy to see live. The energy in the venue was high, vocalist Cory Castro even mentioned during his set, saying “I’m so happy to be here” while overlooking the screaming crowd. Wrapping their set up with “Two Beers In”, everyone in that room was ready for the main event of the night.

Four Year Strong is everything you’d want in a live performance, combining incredible vocals, high energy, and stunning lighting and design. Beginning with one of their newest songs “aftermath/afterthought”, fans were given a seventeen song setlist, featuring every album in the band’s discography. Fans new and old could find something to enjoy, playing some of their biggest hits like “It Must Really Suck to Be Four Year Strong Right Now” and their show closers “We All Float Down Here” and “Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)”.
Although the US leg ends December 1st, Four Year Strong picks up with an EU/UK run in February 2025. Tickets and links to their newest release “analysis paralysis” can be found on their official website!
