The Crane Wives are on the move and touring to celebrate the release of their 5th studio album “Beyond Beyond Beyond”. The dynamic four-piece indie band from Grand rapids, Michigan graced the stage of The Echo Lounge & Music Hall with special guest Patty PerShayla and the Mayhaps. Fans were serenaded all night by new songs from both artists as well as fan favorites from older albums. The venue boasts of great acoustics to compliment the performers as well as an intimate stage setup to make this night a memorable experience.
Patty starts us off with an electric performance that lives up to her reputation. She plays songs from her recent album “SAD GIRL APOCALYPSE: bummer songs and ukulele adventures” including “Thanks for Nothin”, “Real Probs”, and “Shithead” that she couples with her astounding stage presence. The band also originates from Grand Rapids, MI and has produced an award winning EP “Perpetual Motion Machine”. Patty maintains a busy touring schedule with the band and also has solo music in the works.

The Crane Wives were formed 2010 and is composed of Emilee Petersmark (guitar/vocals), Kate Pillsbury (guitar/vocals), Dan Rickabus (drums/vocals), and Ben Zito (bass). “Beyond Beyond Beyond” is their 5th self-produced studio album which touches on personal topics including adoption, love and loss, and queerness. Fans I spoke to prior to their performance were all excited to listen to new music and old favorites. The band was quick to deliver an incredible show playing hits from previous albums including “The Well”, “The Moon Will Sing”, “Nobody”, and “Daydreamer” and they newest album including “Scars” and “Bitter Medicine”.

I enjoyed listening to the band’s music. The depth in lyrics, upbeat sounds, and captivating vocals truly explain the loyal fanbase I had the pleasure of witnessing . The tour will soon make it’s way to the West Coast starting in Las Vegas, NV late October and ending in Sacramento, CA early November.
