Mest recently toured the whole month of September with various special guests, starting in California and making its end in Texas. The Punk Rock band led by Tony Lovato recently released a new song “When We Were Young” on April 2024 and has since been very active performing in recent shows like Pop Punk’s Not Dead in Buda, Texas which also featured Amber Pacific.

Amber Pacific was formed 2002 near Seattle, WA and has released 4 albums between 2005-2014. I am fairly particular to their first album, The Possibility and The Promise, released 2005 as their songs helped me through high school. Their performance is highly energetic and they connect with their fans in between songs. Performing hits like “Poetically Pathetic”, “Always You”, and ” Gone So Young” – they hit the spot that loyal followers came to experience, sing along, and dance to. They celebrated 20 years of Amber Pacific announcing their newest single “Young and Reckless“, a new single in releasing in a couple of weeks, and a new album releasing next year. The band embodies the Pop Punk genre with catchy upbeat melodies and I am truly excited beyond words for their new music.

Tony Lovato is a rock star. Mest is always a good show to watch. Opening their set with “Rooftops” and going down a set list that fans have loved throughout the years including “Drawing Board”, “Fuct Up Kid”, “I Melt with You”, “When We Were Young”, and ending the night with an all time favorite in “Cadillac”. Jumps, thunderous rhythms, and feel good music that makes Mest one of the best bands to catch live.

Both of these bands have been a staple on my playlist since the early 2000 when I had to rock a giant iPod to present day of wireless technology that allow me to continuously replay all these hits. They are definitely two bands I can’t recommend enough. If they are ever in your area, take my word for it and just watch them. You won’t regret it.
