As the summer winds down to an end, San Antonio natives Nothing More put on an explosive show to a sold-out Southside Ballroom in Dallas, TX. Touring their newest album “CARNAL” and bringing along a well-round bill to boot consisting of Post Profit, From Ashes to New, and Set It Off, The CARNAL Tour takes each band’s live production and brings it to it’s absolute best.

The first band to take the stage was Post Profit, another Texas-based band not that far from Dallas proper. After coming out onstage to a mash up Rage Against the Machine’s ‘Killing In The Name Of’ and Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles’, the band opened their set with the song ‘Speak’. Vocalist Matt Jackson wasted no time with getting the party started, demanding the crowds’ full attention. Jackson and the rest of the band truly played like they were laying their hearts on the line with each song. By the end of the set, Post Profit got even the eldest of emos on their feet, crowd-surfing him during their last song ‘Cancer Culture’.

From the second that From Ashes To New started their set with ‘Nightmare’, it was clear the crowd was more than ready to return the energy they were giving out. Vocalists Danny Case and Matt Brandyberry were raw and honest with the crowd, touching on mental health and claim that “This [the show] is where your demons go to die!” and how the crowd was more than just that, “We are one fucking family!” Ending with one of their biggest songs to date ‘Through It All’, what felt like every single hand was in the air, waving along with the band.

As their first album passes its’ 14th anniversary, Set It Off is just one of those bands that doesn’t need an introduction. Throughout their various lineups, eras, and albums, the soul of the it all has always stayed the same. After splitting from their label and becoming unsigned, the band has seen some of the most success yet with having their newest singles like ‘Punching Bag’ and ‘Fake Ass Friends’ getting official radio play and cementing themselves in the main and rock U.S. charts. These songs, along with their older hits such as ‘Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing’, ‘I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead’, and ‘Why Worry’ lit up the venue, causing some major crowd surfing and mosh pits all around.

The last band to take the stage was none other than Nothing More, and with the first song on their setlist being ‘House On Sand’, the crowd instantly lit up. Front man Jonny Hawkins is incredible to watch, the way he puts his all into his performance, and then some. There was a little something for fans old and new, playing a evenly split collection of some of their biggest songs from their past albums, such as ‘JENNY’, ‘Go To War’, and ‘TIERD OF WINNING’ just to name a few. As the night was coming to an end with the last song ‘This Is The Time (Ballast)’, Nothing More pulled out all the stops to end the night right. From the whole band playing different drums set up across the stage, to Hawkins even having fans on the barricade hold his drums as he played, it was a night not soon to be forgotten.

The CARNAL Tour continues on until the end of next month on October 26th. Tickets and remaining VIP upgrades can be found on Nothing More’s official website and you can stream the album CARNAL on all major streaming platforms!
