Caroline Romano is a Nashville-based alt-pop singer and songwriter. At just 22-years-old, she has established herself as a versatile artist, effortlessly transitioning between misty-eyed ballads and fiery alt-rock anthems. “Body Bag” is produced by and co-written with Danen Reed Rector (Charlotte Sands, Boys Like Girls, Betty Who) and is a song about growing up and coming to terms with the harsh realities of life.

“I always had this picture in my mind of who I would be at this age and what my life would look like, and I always thought it would be shiny, fun, sexy, and exhilarating,” says Caroline. “I’ve spent the last few years chasing those feelings, but ‘Body Bag’ is a peak behind the curtain at the reality of modern romance and feeling young and old at the same time. I think sonically the song has so many ups and downs, and that’s exactly how this stage of my life has felt. It’s running barefoot on the concrete, chasing something you can’t quite put your finger on, but running towards it nonetheless. That’s how I would best describe ‘Body Bag.’” the singer states during the press release of her latest single.

Caroline’s voice is very captivating and mesmerizing as she sings through a great mix of guitars, percussions, and sparking synths. The song does well shifting beats and rhythms to intensify the chorus and make you truly immerse in her head space while going through very familiar scenarios. A combination of relatable lyrics with catchy tunes on top of her dreamy indie-pop vocals makes Body Bag an easy hit.

Caroline’s music is a masterful study of being a young woman in today’s world. Her songs are raw, full of anguish, hedonism, and introspection. She is becoming well-known for her high-energy live performances. She recently completed her first US tour supporting Grayscale and Smallpools.
