MisterWives featuring Charlotte Sands

MisterWives just released their new song “Other Side“ featuring Charlotte Sands. The group has continuously evolved their music since forming in 2012 from quirky synth-driven dance-pop to lush indie folk and now an edgier alternative post-punk sound. The collaboration with Sands is the first of more to come later this summer as they gear up to share Nosebleeds: Encore, which promises reworked music with exciting features on each track from the group’s 2023 album.

“Other Side” is upbeat and fun to listen to with great vocals from both lead singer Mandy Lee and Charlotte Sands that just blend so well. The song takes you in for quite the ride with it’s energetic instrumentals and catchy lyrics. “What you want is what you have,
Don’t look forward and don’t look back.” Lee describes the song as dealing with the “unhealthy side effects” of comparison and overcoming them to experience gratitude. It’s hard not to tap with the beats and head-bob as I listened to the track continuously. The song has made me a fan of the group and has made me listen to their past album. The official video is also out which is also incredible and worth the view.

MisterWives has also announced their fall tour, MisterWives: Just For One Night , beginning at the Austin City Limits festival on October 6 and October 13.
