Blackhawk Creek Grill is a new outdoor concert and music venue located in Whitehouse, Tx. It’s chill atmosphere welcomed one of country music’s young and upcoming stars, Jake Worthington. Jake is a Texas native that performs traditional honky-tonk country music and was well supported by fellow Texans who love the genre. Jake acknowledges that his love for traditional country music was ingrained in him listening to his grandfather perform songs of Ray Price, Merie Haggard, and George Jones.

Jake played a good set from his self-titled debut album including hits like “Next New Thing” and “Honky Tonk Crowd” that definitely energized the audience to sing and dance throughout the night. He has a very classic, captivating, and soothing voice which made him easy to listen to as he serenaded the two-stepping crowd. Jake easily relates to the audience and engages with them as he chugs his beer and talks about old country and Texas in between songs. Jake has upcoming shows throughout the country with his tour ending in New York this October.
