Long Live The Lights is an emo rock band from Houston Texas formed 2018 by Andre DeCuba (Vocals), Brendan McDowell (Guitars), Adrian Gonzalez (Drums), and Matt Fogarty (Bass). They have songs in most major platforms and are known for their songs like Reprise and Sirens which has over 27,000 plays on Spotify. They released their newest song Paradigm March 22,2024.
The intro starts slow and captures you with deep lyrics which immediately picks up as the chorus drops. Internal conflict? Perseverance despite life’s struggle? Maybe even love’s pain. You can relate to the lyrics in more than one way and it is very poetically written. The verses continue to be very enjoyable with a good mix of beat drops and is a very clean in vocals and instruments. The song has a steady stylistic sound with an upbeat rhythm from start to finish. It’s perfect and familiar for those who love the genre. The emotions are real. I couldn’t help but feel the words and move with the song as I’m reminded of music that got me through my younger years.
I can’t wait to catch Long Live The Lights live. If this song is an example of how they’re going to perform then it’s going to be one heck of an energetic show. You can follow them on Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify.
