On the rainy and cold evening Tulips FTW opened its doors to Beach Weather and their “Pineapple Sunrise: The Tour” with support from almost monday and Rec Hall.

Indie band Rec Hall from southern California took center stage and set the mood for the rest of the evening opening their set with “Marty“ followed by “If You Run” and “Paranoia.“ Before their third song Rec Hall asked the crowd to “please jump” for them, and the crowd was more than happy to oblige. Before starting the last song of their setlist, lead singer John Bary, let the fans know that he was fighting with the artificial tree that was on stage with him, which made that fans laugh a bit. Then Ben Tyrell (guitar/bass) said it was okay because they were playing their last song and he would not have to deal with the tree anymore. Ben also let the fans know that they had merchandise at a table in the back  and they should check it out.  Follow them on Instagram and listen to their catalog on Spotify.

The San Diego trio of Dawson Daugherty (vocals), Luke Fabry (bass/keys), and Cole Clisby (guitar) known as almost monday were the second act to take over the stage at Tulips FTW.

The fans eagerly cheered as almost monday made it to the stage.

They opened up their 13 song setlist with “only wanna dance”, “is it too late? “ and “you look so good”. Throughout their time on stage you could feel the positive energy and the enjoyment of performing almost monday felt and it was something that was reciprocated by the fans.

The crowd sang and danced along with Dawson keeping up with the energy brought by them. In the middle of their set almost monday did a cover of “Take Me Out” by Franz Ferdinand and “What I Like About You” by The Romantics. One of the most popular parts of “What I Like About You” is the harmonica solo, which Dawson did a marvelous job playing. They finished their set with “life goes by”. As they walked off the stage the fans started chanting “one more song” which made almost monday smile and wave goodbye. Follow them on Instagram and listen to the rest of their catalog on Spotify. American pop rock band Beach Weather, which consists of Nick Santino (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Sean Silverman (bass, backing vocals) and Reeve Powers (lead guitar) took over center stage.
As the fans cheered for Beach Weather, Nick let them know they were having some small technical difficulties so “we’re going to pretend like we’re not on stage yet”, once they were fixed the fans cheered once more for Beach Weather as if they were coming on stage for the first time. Beach Weather started their setlist with “Chit Chat”, followed by “ Pineapple Sunrise” and “Unlovable”. The crowd sang and danced along to every song they played. They finished their set with “Trouble With This Bed”, “Swoon” and “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” Catch them at one of their remaining tour dates.
