Tom Odell’s concert at the Wiltern on October 23rd, 2023, was an absolute musical delight from start to finish. The evening kicked off with Jane’s Party, a young and vibrant group that wasted no time igniting the crowd with their electric performance. Their lead guitarist’s fiery guitar solos were nothing short of inspirational, and the singer’s interaction with the audience, even passing out his guitar pick, set the tone for a night of memorable music. Jane’s Party did an exceptional job of getting the crowd fired up and ready for what was to come. They’ll be with Tom for the remainder of his tour and you’ll be remised if you pass up on seeing them.

Following Jane’s Party, we were treated to the musical prowess of the sibling duo, Isabel and Thomas Larosa. Their lifelong dedication to music was evident as they filled the stage with their passion, creating the illusion of a full ensemble. Thomas Larosa’s guitar skills and music production talents were impressive, while Isabel’s remarkable vocal range and stage presence drew comparisons to an early career Hayley Williams. If you ever have the chance to see Isabel Larosa perform, don’t miss it. Their act further warmed up the audience, setting the stage for the main event.

Tom Odell took the stage to a venue bathed in exceptional lighting, with backlit silhouettes that added an extra layer of depth and emotion to his already powerful songs. Tom’s crystal-clear vocals and live piano performance were a treat rarely found in rock concerts, adding a unique touch to his show. His set was nothing short of phenomenal, and the crowd’s energy was palpable, filling the general admission area with dancing and singing fans. Tom masterfully blended selections from his earlier discography with a taste of what’s to come on his newest album. The audience was treated to classics like “Another Love” and a sneak peek of his upcoming song “Black Friday,” which will be part of his highly anticipated album due early next year.

Tom’s passionate performance was truly electrifying, and his connection with the audience was undeniable. The historic Wiltern venue provided the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable night. The encore performance was the icing on the cake, with Tom dancing across the top of the piano before gracefully jumping off, perfectly in tune with the music to conclude the night. Tom Odell was in his element, and his enthusiasm and talent shone brightly throughout the show. This was undeniably one of the best live performances I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing in quite some time. Tom Odell’s concert was a mesmerizing experience that left the audience with a lasting sense of euphoria and a deep appreciation for his incredible musical artistry.
