September 29 marks the beginning of high pitched screams, nostalgic 80s summer sounds from the electric guitar, and fast paced drum patterns because the Melbourne-based band CIVIC is hitting the United States for their Taken By Force tour.  Not only will the punk rock sounds of CIVIC be traveling from down south to coast to coast, but Taken By Force is followed by even more unique sounds with the recent release of the band’s single “Hourglass.” 

The Melbourne-based band has had multiple sources anticipating the success of their album and the rise of the band itself. Known for their proto-punk sounds entering into the 2020s and onwards for a 2021 debut album, the group’s newest album focuses on the human experiences with many different auditory elements of garage bands and the rise of punk rock.

CIVIC will be on tour beginning at Gonerfest in Memphis on September 29, traveling to the south into the east coast, through the midwest, to the west coast, and finishing in Texas. Make sure to catch this band’s debut album, recent single “Hourglass,” and the Taken By Force tour.
