Singer-songwriter Olivia Kaplan led Lincoln Hall into an acoustic, story-like experience for just under 40 minutes. Originally from Los Angeles, Kaplan took over her Chicago stage singing of her many life experiences, including memorable moments entering into Montreal. Kaplan’s intimate performance allowed for an audience’s undivided attention with the silence able to detect a pin drop or even a camera’s shutter.

UK-based singer-songwriter Billie Marten performed at Lincoln Hall in Chicago as part of her first headline tour in the United States. In addition to her recent album Drop Cherries, Marten produces music that speaks to the socio-political climate, personal relationships and experiences, and much more. Bringing this music to life with intricate wind and percussion in her performances, Marten has created an entire experience for those who come to see her live.
