Tanukichan is an amazing singer/songwriter who is supporting Melanie Martinez on her Portals Tour. The stage setup was very simple as to keep your attention and focus on her and her vocals. Her music is alternative/indie which fit perfectly with Melanie’s vibe and kept the audience well entertained.

Melanie Martinez began her Portals Tour on May 30th, 2023, in Denver, Colorado. The sold-out show took place at the Fillmore Auditorium, which is a 3.9k capacity. In case the numbers don’t do it justice, when doors opened the line wrapped around the building two times! The setlist was an ode to her new era, as it was just the Portals (Deluxe) album in order. While I am sad I didn’t hear any of her older songs that I grew up on, I appreciate the dedication to her art. Along with this, her stage set up was some of the best I have seen with a combination of exciting lights, visuals, and choreography from her array of dancers.As someone who was in the photo pit and later at the back of the venue, I can say with confidence that the show was truly amazing no matter where you were in the room. Melanie truly outdid herself and made sure the opening night to her show was as memorable as can be.
