The Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, AZ, was buzzing with excitement on May 10 as Covet took the stage, supported by Altopalo and Scarypoolparty. The night promised a diverse blend of musical talent, and it did not disappoint.
Kicking off the night, Altopalo delivered a unique and genre-bending set. Their experimental sound, blending elements of indie rock, electronic, and art-pop, created a captivating sonic landscape. The band’s musicianship was evident as they flawlessly transitioned between intricate rhythms and ethereal melodies. Altopalo’s performance was a delightful surprise, leaving attendees wanting more. Their rendition of “If You’re Happy and You Know it Clap Your Hands” engaged the audience and had everyone moving to the beat.







Following suit, Scarypoolparty set the tone with his soulful and emotive performance. Lit only by a single light bulb on stage, Alejandro Aranda showcased his incredible vocal range and guitar skills, captivating the audience with heartfelt melodies and introspective lyrics. The energy in the room soared as Scarypoolparty engaged the crowd, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.






As the crowd eagerly awaited Covet’s performance, the atmosphere was electric. The band, led by guitar virtuoso Yvette Young, immediately seized the audience’s attention with their mesmerizing instrumental compositions. As they opened with “Coronal” the interplay between Young’s intricate guitar work, David Adamiak’s grooving basslines, and Forrest Rice’s dynamic drumming was nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Their setlist included fan favorites like “Firebird” and “Shibuya,” with each song transporting the crowd into a transcendent state.
