AVOID kicks ass and kicked off the night with their incredible set. They were the first of three bands to take the stage on Sunday for the Denver show of “Skeletons Tour,” and they really knew how to get the party going. After they played their second song, lead singer, Benny, sat down and got a tattoo during the show. This was so unexpected but it made their set even more fun. After the show, Benny posted a picture of his tattoo and it was a little rocket ship. Aside from the tattoo, AVOID was also able to get the crowd going. They started a circle pit and had parts of the crowd moshing.

This show had a pretty quick turnaround time between sets, which I can always appreciate. Following AVOID’s performance, The Word Alive took the stage. The two bands are a very similar genre of music, so the audience was already very into it. The Word Alive also had great stage presence, interacting with the crowd and just turning the show into an experience. Towards the end of their set, they covered the popular song “Heartless,” which gained the attention of the audience members who weren’t familiar with The Word Alive’s songs.

Pop Evil closed out the night with their amazing performance. The band was very active on stage and they were moving nonstop. This gave the crowd a great view no matter where they were. Pop Evil’s music was a bit slower and a different genre than the two previous bands, but it was great because most of the crowd was tired from moshing anyways. They put on a perfect set and ended with high energy, the crowd singing along with every word.
