An upcoming band from Gainesville, Florida, Driveaway is a band that is dedicated to its music! This pop-rock indie band is made up of Trenton Ropp, Tanner Ropp, Kyle Tapley, and Daniel Po. In the recent release of their new single, “Lifesize”, the band was able to showcase their ability to create a simple, playful beat that is accompanied by an upbeat summer melody. Their desire to capture the emotions of Dayglow’s first album, “Fuzzybrain,” which was released in 2018, was expressed to us in our interview with them, which they stated that the song should capture the emotion of the “Fuzzybrain”. There is no doubt that you will be able to feel just that after listening to the song. A lot of summer nostalgia, a drives back home after a day at the lake, ice cream in hand and sunsets will come to you.The band Driveaway was previously signed to Swamp Records, a student-run record label that also supported the band Flipturn. They have released their EP “Feel Better Soon” and their most recent single prior to Lifesize, “Wishing Well” and have toured extensively over the past few years, and they are not planning on stopping anytime soon!
